The horror of Bermuda Triangle : fact or myth

Joiseyshowaa

There are many mysterious places in our beloved planet earth. These places have phenomenon that can’t be explained by human’s logic and science.  That’s why the fear of such places has made them even more interesting to explore. Do you agree with me? Or you prefer to let your fear defeat you?

Let’s talk about the Bermuda Triangle, a legendary feared location. Why they name it Bermuda Triangle?  It’s not actually a huge mega triangle you can see there, but it’s an imaginary triangle which unites these three countries –Bermuda, Puerto Rico, and Miami. The territory of Bermuda triangle is actually located at the Atlantic Sea.

Bermuda Triangle has a nickname, ‘Devil’s Triangle’. This horrorful nickname was given to it because of these several horrorful incidents happened there. The first incident was in 1840, the sinking of HMS Rosalie. The missing of 19 aircrafts (including 5 US bomber planes) in 1945. Before they disappeared, they reported seeing something strange in Bermuda. Later the rescue team was sent to search for them. There were no wrecked planes, no clues at all, and later this rescue team was disappeared too. Then in 1999, the missing of Freighter Genesis Ship. The mystery of Bermuda Triangle was firstly brought to the world in year 1960 by Mr. Charles Berlitz through his book ‘The Bermuda Triangle’.

the Bermuda Triangle

After the mystery of Bermuda Triangle brought to the world, many assumptions are created to answer the mystery. Some people thought that the sea must have some methane gas that suck all these missing ships and planes to the bottom of the sea. Others said that it might have a magnetic field that interrupted the navigation system of the ships and planes. Even there were people who thought that Bermuda Triangle was a UFO Base, and it was the UFO who kidnapped all those ships and planes. And also the idea that Bermuda Triangle was the former ancient city of Atlantis, because they found a pyramid in the bottom of the sea. Some suggested that it was some kind of time machine. And others suggested that it was the palace of Dajjal, the evil that would show up itself at the end time.

But William Gillies, an eighty-year-old origin of Bermuda, has different idea about the Bermuda Triangle. In his recent book, ‘Reefs, Wrecks & Relics — Bermuda Underwater Heritage’, Gillies talked about his lifetime experience in exploring the Bermuda Sea. He cannot do any diving at his age of eighty, but he has all the memories clearly in his mind. He remembers the sinking of a luxurious Spain ship, Christobal Colon, on October 25th 1936. He was only six years old then. Gillies and his fellow divers started diving in the Bermuda Sea in 1965. They have found many antique and interesting ‘treasures’. Some are now exhibited in Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute (BUEI). Other Bermuda citizens are very mad of all the horrorful rumors about Bermuda. They said that they have been living there all this time and saw lots of ships and planes going through Bermuda safely. They are hoping that the rumors will stop because they have bad effects to Bermuda tourism.

So, you decide yourself, whether the Bermuda’s horror is a fact or myth. All the information above are facts (except the people’s opinions, aren’t proven yet), although they may be differed in two sides. The outsiders’ side and the origins’ side. Take a side!
