I recently came back from the Apple store after using the iPad for about an hour. I went through all its features, the sample Apps that Apple had put on the device, changed some settings around (just because I could) and played with it.

And needless to say, I loved it! I swear, I'm in love! I'm now putting extra money away so that I can buy it. I may wait for a second generation to come out, but other than that, I do plan on buying it!

As the new iPad was officially released last week, more than 300.000 people bought it. The new histeria created by the iPad is more than visible, and it may not be too long until iPad will reach a high number of sales. If you already have an iPad or you want to buy one, then you will need to know some things about it. For example, setting it up or features its offering.

Setting up the iPad

It's not difficult to do, but you will need iTunes on a computer. Connect the iPad through an USB to you home machine. After you do that you will be asked if you want to activate the iPad. Sure you want that...

iTunes will serve as your iPad's backup system, and even if you could restore it from a previous iPhone or iPod Touch, Apple recommends starting from fresh. The next step is the syncing of your files (music, videos, photos). The first sync will take a while, but choose wisely if you want it to be done automatically next time, as I don't think that's a smart decision. Setting up the e-mail is as easy as on an iPhone. Just select the application you want to use, enter the login credentials and you're good to go.

People thought of iPhone as being the most Apple can come with, but as they released the new iPad, things started to look different. Many think that iPad has a huge potential. Nevertheless, the critics came faster than expected, and is widely believed and understandable that Apple was not pleased with them.

       I am also one of those who don’t like iPad at all. Even if I would have all the money in the world, I still wouldn’t buy one. I just don’t see this iPad as another revolution in the IT domain. I can’t see it changing people’s lives just as the smartphones or the iPhone did. Would you see someone in the tram navigating on the internet with a 9.7 inch mobile phone? Yes, I know, it can’t be compared to a mobile phone, but it can’t match a laptop’s features either. I would rather call it a phone, than call it a laptop. Oh, I forgot. Did I say something about navigating? Well, then I am sorry. I can’t see myself navigating without Adobe Flash. Plus, the iPad isn’t capable of multitasking either.

Probably you already know that the new iPad is coming on April 3, but have you hear that Apple has pushed the iPad to April 12 because it unsuspected higher demand? According to rumors on the net Apple has sold over half a million devices before lunch day. Which in fact this could be a little bit more than many people expected.
