FireFox has seen very fast paced growth in recent years. It has dethroned Internet Explorer as the major Dominant Web Browser.

Much of the tremendous popularity of FireFox Browser has been due to the huge number of add-ons available for FireFox. FireFox add-ons extend the functionality of the Web Browser by adding some features, which are not available by default in the Browser. Some add-ons help make the browsing experience easy for the user, while some others help the web designers and developers in inspecting, debugging and editing web pages.

People aren't able yet to say if Firefox, Chrome or Internet Explorer is better, but if one thing is sure, Firefox offers the most popular and useful add-ons. Sure, many people don't need add-ons, but they can prove very useful. There was a time when I didn't need extensions at all, but after I tried some, I understood that there is not any risk at all and also that using add-ons is faster than not using them.

Microsoft yesterday responded to critics who have called for the death of IE6 saying "dropping support is not an option" for the eight-year-old browser.

Although Microsoft is eager for users to upgrade to the newest version of Internet Explorer, Dean Hachamovitch, general manager of the browser group, said the decision is out of its hands. Mentioning that "The choice to upgrade software on a PC belongs to the person responsible for the PC."
