If you want to setup a new e-mail from your website company or any hosting company inside Outlook Express 6, this tutorial will help you to achieve that.
On this video, I'm going to be working with Fastdomain.com hosting company, but you can basically use any hosting company and use this video to setup a POP3 account in Outlook Express 6 in a Windows XP machine.
You are going to need some specific things from your hosting company. So be sure you have them handy. You can also get support from them and request the following information. Chec the video at the bottom for a better understanding.
1. E-mail Name
2. Password
3. Incoming Mail Server
4. Outgoing Mail Server
5. Number of the ports for POP3 and SMTP (The normal port for POP3 is 110 and the normal for SMTP is 25, however some companies tend to change that. Be sure you got the right ports.)
6. If you are using SSL certificate in you website check with your company for the specific settings for POP3 accounts in Outlook Express. So, you can use your SSL certificate in your e-mail too.
