The iPhone and the iPod Touch have lots in common; however they also have many differences. The two are both made by the same great company known as Apple. Because of them being made by a great company, I think it is very fair to say that the two are both of great quality when it comes to almost any task. Hopefully, if you do not already think this, I can convince you by the end of this article!

First off, one of the main differences that almost anyone can spot is that the iPhone is a phone, and the iPod Touch is not. It is, however, very possible for the iPod Touch to make phone calls via a Skype app and with the right head set. Even though this call may not be exactly of good quality, it is still better than nothing.

Another difference is that the iPhone has a built in camera, while the iPod Touch does not… yet. Many users have contacted Apple asking for a camera or maybe even a microphone built into the iPod Touch. Hopefully, this can be a nice possibility in the future, however you never know – Apple could go way overboard like they do with everything! (Which is a good thing.)

An obvious similarity is that the two both of nice, big touch screens. These touch screens both have multi touch technology. This allows two fingers to be placed on the touch screen at the same time. This can be very convenient.

Also, the two can both get apps from the app store via Wi-Fi. However, the iPhone can also get apps via a 3G or EDGE connection. Even though these two connections may be a bit slower, they still get the job done.

As you can see, the iPhone can be better than the iPod Touch in some cases. It all depends on what you need. Maybe you should get the iPhone; maybe you should get the iPod Touch. If you want to have calls and a steady plan with AT&T or T-Mobile, then you will need the iPhone .However, remember that the iPod Touch does have the capability of making calls; it is just much harder.

Hopefully you can find something right for you!
