Five useful Firefox Add-ons

People aren't able yet to say if Firefox, Chrome or Internet Explorer is better, but if one thing is sure, Firefox offers the most popular and useful add-ons. Sure, many people don't need add-ons, but they can prove very useful. There was a time when I didn't need extensions at all, but after I tried some, I understood that there is not any risk at all and also that using add-ons is faster than not using them.

Let's say you need an FTP program, but don't want to buy SmartFTP and don't trust FileZilla anymore either, after your server got virused last time you uploaded a file on it. Then try to use FireFTP, a Firefox extension that provides easy and intuitive access to FTP servers.

Tired of you MSN or Yahoo!? Then you should really consider ChatZilla, another cool add-on. Do you remember the old mIRC, one of the most popular IRCs in the history of the internet? Well, ChatZilla looks pretty much like it, provides many channels, logging and file transfer too. ChatZilla can prove to be a very nice tool for socializing.

If you are a blogger and want an add-on to help you post easier on your page, then try ScribeFire Blog Editor. It integrates TypePad, Blogger, Wordpress and LiveJournal (among others), so ScribeFire offers the most used blog platforms in the World. It's intuitive, very ease to use and useful if you want to spare some time when writing on your blog, especially if you write many times a day.

Are you a heavy downloader? Then you might like to try Download Statusbar. This plugin allows you to see the detailed downloads in a bar underneath the browser, and gives you many options for customizing the application. Download statusbar lets you know everything about your download, which is important if you download movies, music or games the whole day.

Do you hate the ads? Are you bothered by banners, Google AdSense or adverts? Then you can gain the control of them by using another Mozilla Firefox Add-on, called Adblock Plus. It allows you to block any kind of ads and also lets you block tabs for Flash or Java objects.

So, as you can see, Mozilla Firefox offers a huge list of add-ons. It's still not sure if Firefox, Chrome or Internet Explorer is the best (though I recommend Google's application), but if we have to compare those three in the field of add-ons and extensions, it's more than sure who takes the prize for granted.
