Instead of going to a shop every now and then to buy computer parts, why not teach yourself how to install them and buy everything online? There are a plethora of places to buy computers parts on the web, and it seems like every day, a new shop opens up. Some local computer shops may even have their own website that you can look at to see if they have the part you want.

A very popular site is Newegg.com. Not only do they have computer hardware, actual computers, and accessories, but they also have other electronics as well, such as parts for the Playstation or Xbox, and digital cameras. All of these sit a very decent price. They have free shipping options which are still very fast. Their packaged items are packed with great care.

Another site is eBay. eBay is an easy place to buy computer items online, mostly because it is cheap. It may be Chinese knock off version, but if it is handled with care it can last for awhile. Shipping is almost always free when buying from Hong Kong, and although it isn’t exactly fast, it is free, and nothing can beat free! Some people prefer eBay over other online stores, mostly because of the huge variety of items. Of course, you can always buy from an American seller, if that makes you more comfortable.

It may just be better for the consumer to buy their parts directly from the retailer. For example, if you have a Dell computer, you may just want to buy your part from the Dell website. The same rule applies for HP computers, Gateway, etc, etc. This way you know for sure that you would be getting the right part you need from the real place without any worries. It may cost a bit extra, but at least you know you will have the right part.

Buying from online computer stores is really all a matter of preference. Hopefully, you can find the right online store for you!
