Finally for those who were in doubt about this subject, Apple today sent an e-mail to Brian Lam from Gizmodo.
The letter who came from Bruce Sewell, Senior Vice President & General Counsel at Apple Inc. says:
It was come to our attention that GIZMODO is currently in possession of a device that belongs to Apple. This letter constitutes a formal request that you return the device to Apple. Please let me know where to pick up the unit.
I don’t know about what everyone else is thinking but somebody is going to be screw for the rest of his life. Yes a he, because I don’t think so far there any women involvement on this matter.
Brian also mentions on his post
I'm sad to see it go. We reasoned this pretty little piece of hardware is probably something we'll see again some time soon.
Now what about the legal thing that can go in here and more especially in California, something has to happen right? Do you think this can be the end? I cannot imaging how Steve Jobs should be thinking right now, but for you to have a good picture I leave you a picture from Steve Job’s Office. Thanks to Daring Fireball to donate the though.
