People are using social media a lot those times and it seems that social media became a power around the internet, alongside brands like Google, Yahoo!, YouTube, Facebook or Digg. The icons are usually used when designing a layout, but there are so many icon packs on the internet that you would probably like to replace the theme’s defaults with better looking icons.
Webdesignerdepot.com offer to their RSS subscribers 24 free and original icons for personal purpose only. You have to be subscribed to their feed and introduce the password they provide at the end of each article sent through Feedburner.
Designed by Mirjami Manninen, a Finnish illustrator, the set contains eight .png icons for Twitter (128x128, 256x256 and 512x512). The archive also offers the .psd files.
I’ve found this on deviantART first time, I followed the link the artist provided, and it redirected me to the link I’ve given to you. Google, deviantART, Last.fm, MySpace or Vimeo are available in three sizes, 16x16, 32x32 and 64x64, and the format is .png.
The icons that look like badges are available in .png and .ico formats and in lots of sizes, from 16x16 to the biggest, 128x128. They are created by the well-known French designer, Jeremy Roux.
They look exactly like hand drawn icons, but unfortunately are offered in one size, 150x150 pixels. Technorati, Tweeter, RSS, Home, Comments or Wordpress icons do not miss from this collection.
They provide one of the best and simple icons set I’ve ever seen. There are 16 items offered in a 62x78 pixels size. RSS, Delicious, Gmail, Skype, Reddit, Feedburner, Flickr and the other important social brands are included in the pack.
I am using them on my personal page and I think they fit extraordinary into the design I have. The sizes available are 16x16, 32x32, 48x48, 64x64, 128x128 and the pack comes with .png, .ico and .icns icons.
Besides the normal 16x16 and 32x32 pixels, they also designed large buttons icons. There are 27 brands included in the pack and I recommend the large buttons icons, I think they would look great in a sidebar of a Wordpress theme.
