Windows 7 is the newest operating system released by Microsoft. It is a major upgrade from Windows Vista, which was known for constant crashing. Windows 7, however, is not prone to crashes and has many great aspects to go along with it.

One great feature of Windows 7 is the snap feature. This allows you to compare two windows side by side. Each window will be exactly the same size for easy comparing. To do this, just drag one window all the way to the right side and one all the way to the left. You will see them snap perfectly into place.

Another feature is the shake feature. This lets you focus on window only. To activate it, simply click the top of one window and shake it with your mouse. Almost instantly, all of the other windows will shrink, or minimize themselves, right onto the taskbar for easy accessing later.

One aspect not so great about Windows 7 is the taskbar. The taskbar can easily get crowded with too many shortcuts. You also don’t ever know the name of the program you are using; you are only given a picture. This can cause confusing.

When looking at system requirements, they aren’t too bad at all. Windows 7 is recommended on two gigabytes of RAM or more, however can still run rather smoothly with only one. Basically put it this way: The more RAM you have, the better. Also, a one giga-hertz or high processor is recommended. Otherwise, it will be very laggy and not many programs will be able to be run. You also will need at least sixteen gigabytes of hard drive space.

Windows 7 may seem like it’s a whole lot of trouble, but it really isn’t. If you think it is troubling, try it yourself, and you will see how easy it is to use it. Once installed on your computer, you will be simply amazed.
